The Novotroitsk City Court of the Orenburg Region fined Marina Tarbaeva, who wrote “Glory to Ukraine” in the parent chat, 30 thousand rubles. Mediazona drew attention to the publication of the resolution.
The child of 45-year-old Tarbaeva studies at Novotroitsk gymnasium No. 1. During a discussion of a fundraiser to help the Russian military in a parent’s chat, a woman wrote: “And regarding the fundraiser for SVO participants, our whole family is against this special operation!!! We are for Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine. Glory to the Heroes!!!”
The WhatsApp chat consisted of 26 participants. The police believed that the woman had committed “public actions aimed at discrediting” the Russian military (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code). A report based on the woman’s message was drawn up by a major from the Center for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Tarbaeva herself did not admit guilt at a meeting in December and said that she “only expressed her personal opinion.”
