Olympic champion Sorina has not fully recovered from a leg injury

KAZAN, January 11, Adela Ziatdinova. Olympic champion skier Tatyana Sorina told reporters that she had not yet fully recovered from the leg injury she received at the end of last year.
On Thursday, Sorina became eighth in the 10 km freestyle time trial at the fifth stage of the Russian Cup, which takes place on the new track in Kazan.
“»I fell out of training for a month and a half. I haven’t been on skis since November 27, and on January 1 I just started pushing my legs. I had an injury, I couldn’t step on my leg, I did all the exercises in the gym. At the end of December I «I rode on my hands. I don't have any form now, or rather, I do have it, but it's not as good as I would like. But there is still time before the main starts, and now we went out so as not to forget the feeling of the start and just ride evenly,» said Sorina.
The athlete also noted that the main competitions for her will be the Spartakiad and the Russian Championship.
«»It's frosty now, but it's been like that all January. We've already been preparing for two weeks in this cold, so we're used to it. The main competitions are the Spartakiad and the Russian Championship. The facility in Kazan is very good. I'm glad that we have such a complex in Russia, where there will be top-level competitions. I really liked Kazan,” said Sorina.
The Spartakiad will be held from February 9 to 18, the Russian Championship races will take place in March and April.
