ANADYR, January 10 Russian President Vladimir Putin joked about the budget, saying that there are always not enough funds, but we must be guided by priorities, for example, such as the school overhaul program.
During a meeting with residents of Anadyr, one of the participants asked the president whether it is possible to extend the program for financing school repairs from the federal budget to kindergartens, colleges, technical schools and boarding schools, where repairs are currently being carried out at the expense of the district budget and there are not enough funds. “There are always not enough funds, there is no number of the most important issues for which there are not enough funds, there are always a lot of them,” Putin said, laughing.
The President emphasized that when resolving issues one must always be guided by priorities. “When solving issues of this kind, one must always be guided by consideration of the priorities of the greatest importance here and now. We therefore decided from the federal level to begin major repairs and the construction of schools, although this is the level of responsibility of the region and municipalities. But nevertheless, keeping in mind the importance of those tasks «, which are being decided in schools, and the state of the material base of schools, they nevertheless decided that at the first stage it is necessary to help schools, and this is exactly what we are doing, this is exactly what we have allocated funds for,» Putin said.
He noted that about 13 thousand schools should be renovated throughout the country. “We need to finish this program, we need to do it. Of course, the problem of kindergartens is very close to this, because, of course, it is the older groups that should then smoothly develop into school. This connection should be there, and this is the next stage, in my opinion.” — said Putin.
He added that the condition of technical schools and colleges is also very important. According to him, this is important, among other things, because there are needs in the labor market, a large shortage of personnel, and above all, highly qualified workers. “Therefore, this is a very important area of activity, but today it is being solved, at least at the moment we want to solve it within the framework of the specialty program together with representatives of business who are interested in obtaining well-trained personnel. In general, this process has been launched, but probably , from some point, from some stage, additional support from the federation will be required, we know about this,” Putin said.
