The accommodation point for Ukrainian Armed Forces officers was hit
On the night of January 11, Russian troops launched another attack on the temporary accommodation point for Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Kharkov. The first reports of explosions came after 23:00 local time. A video of a powerful explosion appeared on social networks. By morning, the preliminary results of the missile strike became known.
The Iskander missile flew into the Kharkov Park Hotel, where, according to the Russian Weapon channel, a large temporary deployment point for the Ukrainian Armed Forces was set up.
This is the second strike on military facilities in Kharkov on this week. A day ago, the location of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was hit on the outskirts of the city, and earlier the workshops of military enterprises and the locations of the Grads, from which the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at Belgorod, were destroyed.
On Thursday night, 9M723 operational-tactical ballistic missiles hit Kharkov -1 Iskander-M complexes. According to preliminary data, in addition to the hotel used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, large warehouses with ammunition and fuel and lubricants were hit.
Iskander missiles accelerate to a speed of 1000 meters per second during the final stage of flight. They are capable of performing anti-aircraft maneuvers with overloads of 25-30 units. This makes them virtually invulnerable to NATO air defense systems.
In addition to the strike on Kharkov, on the night of January 11, Russian missiles flew at targets in Krivoy Rog, the hometown of Vladimir Zelensky. It has not yet been reported which objects were hit.
