MAKHACHKALA, January 12 An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 was recorded on Friday in the Khasavyurt district of Dagestan, the press service of the main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the republic.
«The Dagestan Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences received a message that at 10.14 (Moscow time) a seismic event with a magnitude of 4.4 occurred on the territory of the Khasavyurt district at a depth of 27 kilometers. Tremors on the surface of the earth were felt by residents of the city of Khasavyurt and the Khasavyurt district,» — the message says.
Information about the destruction was not received, the department added.
