Putin will discuss plans for the development of Far Eastern cities

KHABAROVSK, January 11 Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Khabarovsk Territory will hold a meeting on the development of Far Eastern cities and a meeting with the head of the region, Mikhail Degtyarev, as well as communicate with local entrepreneurs and visit an animation studio.
The President arrived in the Khabarovsk Territory on Wednesday evening after a trip to the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.

As presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, Putin’s program in Khabarovsk “will include a large presentation of comprehensive plans for the development of Far Eastern cities.” Also, according to him, a conversation with representatives of local business is planned — there will be quite a lot of entrepreneurs, there will be a substantive conversation.

In addition, Putin will visit an animation studio, where communication is also planned and the issue of creating creative clusters in the regions will be discussed, Peskov said. The President will also speak separately with the Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Degtyarev.
Development plans for Far Eastern cities Previously, the Russian government approved plans for the socio-economic development of 16 Far Eastern cities until 2030. Such master plans provide for the renovation of the housing stock, the construction of social facilities, landscaping, modernization of transport and utility infrastructure, and the development of resort areas.
Plans were approved for Anadyr, Arsenyev, Birobidzhan, Blagoveshchensk, Belogorsk, Bolshoi Kamen, Vladivostok, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Krasnokamensk, Neryungri, Nakhodka, Magadan, Ussuriysk, Svobodny, Khabarovsk and Yakutsk.
In total, on instructions from the president, master plans were developed for 25 Far Eastern cities; the government, regional authorities and the business community took part in their preparation, the Cabinet of Ministers specified. Earlier in 2023, the government approved similar development plans for Chita, Ulan-Ude, Severobaikalsk, Tynda, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yelizovo, Korsakov and Artyom.
