The Central Election Commission will invite legislators to clarify the status of the presidential candidate

MOSCOW, January 11 The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation will appeal to legislators with a proposal to clarify the status of the candidate for the presidency of the Russian Federation in order to avoid speculation on this status, said the head of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova.
«After the election campaign, we will ask, turn to our legislators to streamline this high title, the status of a presidential candidate… If a person applies for the status of a candidate, he must competently carry out, in accordance with the law, all procedures related to the nomination, pass relevant documents to the Central Election Commission,» Pamfilova said at a meeting of the Central Election Commission.

In addition, the head of the Central Election Commission noted that there are now only three officially registered candidates, and she also answered why there is no information on the website about all the contenders for the post of President of the Russian Federation.

«There was no information on the CEC website because there were no officially registered candidates. Now there are three of them,» Pamfilova added.
