
DONETSK, January 12 A civilian was injured as a result of shelling of Gorlovka by Ukrainian troops, the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko reported in his Telegram channel.
“As a result of Ukrainian armed aggression, a peaceful Gorlovka resident was wounded in the Gagarin mine village,” Prikhodko wrote.
The DPR representation in the JCCC earlier on Friday reported four shellings of Gorlovka by Ukrainian troops, including the use of NATO 155-mm caliber cluster shells.
Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the city is home to the Stirol chemical concern and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest populated areas of the DPR; before the start of the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka numbered more than 250 thousand people.
