The Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined Tatyana Limenya-Osipova, a friend of the person in jail in the case of attempted terrorist attack Maxim Asriyan. According to the press service of the city courts, she knew about her friend’s intentions, but did not report him to the police (Article 205.6 of the Criminal Code).
According to the prosecution, at the end of September 2022, Asriyan told Limena-Osipova that “he is dissatisfied with the current government of the Russian Federation and its policies, in particular the conduct of the SVO, supports the armed forces of Ukraine and plans to interfere with the conduct of the SVO by committing terrorist act — arson of one of the military commissariats in order to impede mobilization.» In addition, according to the press service of the courts, Asriyan asked the girl to buy lighter fluid, but she did not do this.
Limenya-Osipova admitted her guilt, her case was considered in a special manner. She and Anna Zeladina, another friend of Asriyan, were detained on September 26, 2023. There is no decision yet on the case of the second girl. During the investigation, both were under recognizance not to leave the place.
Maxim Asriyan, who worked as a nurse at a clinic, was detained in October 2022 at Pulkovo airport when he was flying from St. Petersburg to Sochi. According to investigators, a few days earlier the man came to the Frunzensky military registration and enlistment office with an igniter, but then changed his mind about setting the building on fire and left. Last December, it became known that he would also be tried on charges of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code).
