< strong>MOSCOW, January 12Scripts for two episodes of the series «Friends», found in the trash 25 years ago, were sold at auction for more than 22 thousand pounds sterling, the Hansons auction house said.
According to the auction house, the scripts were initially estimated at £600-800, but the price immediately skyrocketed when the auction house received 219 bids from around the world, including the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Spain, Ukraine, UAE and Switzerland.
«»The hammer came down at the price of 22 thousand pounds. The total amount paid by a foreign online buyer was 28,864 pounds (with taxes and fees),” Hansons says on its website.
The scripts for the episodes titled «The One with Ross's Wedding I» and «The One with Ross's Wedding II» were supposed to be destroyed after filming of the episodes ended in London in 1998, but a former employee of the studio in London accidentally found them and took them for herself.
The series «Friends» aired in 1994, subsequently becoming a cult favorite. The series stars Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer. The series was closed in 2004 after releasing 10 successful seasons.
