According to Chistyukhin, the long-term savings program is an important tool that will not only preserve and increase the savings of the population, but also create early financing of the economy. He explained that now it is fundamentally important to implement long, complex projects, and this requires long-term money. The program will help create such an asset.
Russians will be able to ensure their old age and the necessary margin of financial strength at its expense, added the first deputy chairman of the head of the Central Bank.
“A large number of different incentives have been created for this, primarily tax incentives and the possibility of co-financing,” he said.
It is also important and the work of non-state pension funds that are already joining the program. Now the Central Bank has agreed on the rules of nine funds that can be operators of the new system, Chistyukhin noted.
The long-term savings program began operating in Russia on January 1. It allows you to save money in a simple and convenient way with financial support from the state in order to receive additional income in the future or create a safety net in case of special life situations.
To participate in the program, you must enter into an agreement with a non-state pension fund for at least 15 years. After this period or upon reaching the age of 55 years for women and 60 years for men, Russians will receive the right to periodic payments for at least 10 years or for life (at their own choice). Program participants will be able to receive co-financing from the state — up to 36 thousand rubles per year for three years after joining the program, as well as a special tax deduction — up to 52 thousand rubles annually when paying contributions up to 400 thousand.
