MOSCOW, January 15 The Russian Ministry of Health has approved clinical trials of a nasal vaccine for the prevention of whooping cough in children aged 6 to 14 years, according to data from the register of approved clinical trials.
“The purpose of the clinical study was to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of the GamLIV vaccine, a live intranasal vaccine for the prevention of pertussis in children aged 14 and 6 years,” the registry states.
The study will take place in Perm and Engels, and 284 children will take part in it. The study is scheduled to end on December 31, 2024.
The developer of the drug is the Gamaleya Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.
