The second generation crossover is offered with a more powerful turbo engine, but now there is no all-wheel drive. The model is available in three versions.
The Russian division of Geely revealed the configuration of the new crossover at the very end of last year, and now all the specifications and prices have been published. Let us remind you that our SUV is officially declared the second generation Atlas; in its native China, the crossover is also considered the next generation (there it bears the name Boyue L). But in the countries of the Middle East, the SUV is positioned as a separate completely new model called Starray.
The “second” Geely Atlas is based on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform, created by the Chinese together with Volvo (the Swedish brand belongs to Geely), while the predecessor was built on its own “trolley” Geely NL. At the same time, as before, there is an independent suspension at the rear.
In terms of dimensions, our new crossover is the same as the version for China: length – 4670 mm, width – 1900 mm, height – 1705 mm, wheelbase – 2777 mm. For comparison, the dimensions of the previous Russian Geely Atlas Pro (it acquired the prefix after restyling): 4544/1831/1713 mm, the distance between the axles is 2670 mm. The passport ground clearance of the new product intended for the Russian Federation is 215 mm versus 171 mm for the first generation model. The trunk volume of the “second” Atlas is 650 liters (when loaded “under the ceiling”), with the backrests of the second row folded – 1610 liters.

In Russia, the new crossover is currently presented with one engine — a 2.0 petrol turbo-four with direct injection; in our version it produces 200 hp. and 325 Nm (in China — 218 hp, the same torque). The engine is combined with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two “wet” clutches, front-wheel drive only. At home, as well as in Kazakhstan (there it is also a new Atlas, but the previous Atlas Pro on the Kazakh market was called differently — Azkarra) the model also has a junior turbo-four 1.5 (174 or 181 hp, depending on the market), in addition to The PRC SUV comes in the form of a hybrid with an installation based on a one and a half liter turbocharged engine. The previous Geely Atlas Pro in the Russian Federation is available with a 1.5 turbocharged engine with output of 150 or 177 hp; the more powerful version has a 48-volt starter-generator and all-wheel drive. It is stated that the new Atlas will reach the first “hundred” in 8.2 seconds, with a top speed of 205 km/h. The performance of the predecessor is 9.9 or 11 s (177/150 hp) and 200 km/h.
The crossover is offered in three comfortable trim levels. The initial Luxury includes LED optics, 19-inch wheels, a panoramic roof with sunroof, heated windshield washer nozzles and windshield, light and rain sensors, eco-leather trim, heated steering wheel, front and rear seats, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging for a smartphone, 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, multimedia system with a 13.2-inch diagonal screen, keyless entry system and engine start button, electromechanical parking brake (with the function of holding the car in place). Safety is ensured by six airbags, adaptive cruise control, all-round cameras, frontal collision avoidance, lane keeping and traffic sign recognition systems. In addition, the database has a system for selecting driving modes (Comfortable, Economical, Sports, Intelligent).
The Flagship version also includes a head-up display, an audio system with 11 speakers (including speakers in the driver's seat headrest), ventilated front seats, atmospheric interior lighting and an electric tailgate. And the top-end version of Flagship Sport has 20-inch wheels, two-tone body paint, an illuminated Geely emblem (front) and additional diode “touches” on the radiator grille.
Geely Atlas Luxury price — 3,194990 rubles, the Flagship version will cost 3,394,990 rubles, Flagship Sport costs 3,494,990 rubles. The old Geely Atlas Pro is still in service; according to its price list it now costs 2,763,990 — 3,393,990 rubles (also excluding special offers).
