MOSCOW, January 17 MTS has invested about 600 billion rubles in the Russian digital economy over the past six years, said Evgeny Chereshnev, vice president for strategies and innovations of MTS at exhibition-forum «Russia».
“Over the past 6 years, we have invested about 600 billion rubles in the digital economy of Russia,” Chereshnev said, comparing the company with Yandex and Sberbank.

According to him, the money was spent on updating the company’s infrastructure, building new base stations, data centers and everything that, in principle, remains “under the hood and is not visible, but it is there.”
He also added that there is a problem in the Russian telecom market that companies like to do the same thing several times.
