In India, 14 children and two adults died during an excursion to a lake. Local media reported this.
A group of schoolchildren and accompanying adults were rafting on a boat. At some point, the overloaded ship capsized. It is known that there were more than 30 people on board; they were not wearing life jackets.
Adults and schoolchildren began to drown, and local residents came to their aid. At least ten people were rescued, several went missing.
The families of the victims were promised compensation.
