ST. PETERSBURG, January 19 Teacher Dmitry Kasintsev, who sheltered Daria Trepova after the terrorist attack, asks the prosecution to sentence him to 1 year 10 months in a general regime colony, a correspondent reports from the courtroom.
““Punish Kasintsev — 1 year 10 months in a general regime correctional colony,” the state prosecutor said in the debate between the parties.
During a creative meeting with military commander Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin), held on April 2, 2023 in a cafe on Universitetskaya Embankment in St. Petersburg, Trepova handed Fomin a homemade explosive device disguised as a figurine. As a result of the explosion, the military commander was killed, and another 52 participants in the event received various injuries.
According to investigators, on the same day Trepova, hiding from law enforcement officers, arrived at Kasintsev’s apartment, who sheltered her, knowing about the girl’s involvement in the explosion. It was discovered in his possession on April 3 by law enforcement officers who were conducting a tour of the house. Kasintsev himself claimed at the trial that he did not go to the police because he was afraid for his life and the lives of his loved ones.
