VORONEZH, January 18 Candidate for President of the Russian Federation from the New People party, Vladislav Davankov said that during his election campaign he would visit 35 cities.
«We actually have two months left of the election campaign. I plan to travel through another 30 cities. At first I planned 30, now 35. When I come to the regions, I not only come to a million-plus cities, but I also make sure to stop and meet people in small cities. Because this is also important for me,” Davankov told reporters.
He briefly spoke about his meeting with students of the Voronezh Medical University, of whom, according to him, half plan to leave after studying.
“It is very important for me that in every region people can find themselves and realize themselves,” Davankov said, noting that this plays a special role in healthcare and education.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
Currently, 11 people are vying for the post of head of state. The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation has registered three presidential candidates — Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov and Vladislav Davankov. Since all three are representatives of parliamentary parties, collecting signatures in their support is not required to register as candidates for elections.
Nominees from non-parliamentary political parties — Sergei Malinkovich, Boris Nadezhdin, Andrei Bogdanov, Sergei Baburin, Irina Sviridova must submit at least 100 thousand by January 31. Self-nominated candidates — Vladimir Putin, the Russian Rada, Anatoly Batashev — need to collect at least 300 thousand signatures.
The Central Election Commission must decide to register all candidates no later than February 10.
