MOSCOW, January 18 Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova said in an interview that the candidacy of Yuri Solomin’s successor as artistic director of Maly theater will be discussed later.
«»Now everyone must come to terms with the departure of Yuri Methodievich. We deliberately do not touch either the management of the theater or the members of the troupe. We will meet with our «elders», the administration and management of the theater, and jointly make a decision, which, I am sure, Yuri Methodievich will bless from above,” Lyubimova said.
Solomin died at the age of 88 on January 11. The farewell ceremony for the artist took place on the historical stage of the Maly Theater, after which he was buried at Troekurovskoye Cemetery.
