Nine people were poisoned by carbon monoxide in Kaspiysk
According to Ren-TV with reference to the administration of Kaspiysk, mass carbon monoxide poisoning occurred in the city.
As the city administration clarified, nine victims are currently known, including a child, one of whom is in intensive care.
«Initially, seven people were taken to the hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning. A child born in 2017 was placed in intensive care for observation. There is also information about two more victims — a grandmother and a five-year-old child, who were taken to the emergency room,” noted the administration of Kaspiysk.
The cause of the emergency, as it was found out after inspection of the scene by civil defense and emergency situations specialists, was a violation of technological standards and safety standards when installing gas equipment.
