MOSCOW, January 22 On the confiscation bill property, deputies work for fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, so the Kremlin considers it inappropriate to comment on this topic, said the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
«While work is underway at the level of people's representatives, we, as a rule, do not comment. They must complete their work. There are still certain iterations of the bill to go through, so for now we consider this premature <…> They are working on this topic deputies here too it would be incorrect to tell us anything,” Peskov said.
Previously, a bill was introduced to the State Duma on the deprivation of property for fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and calls for activities against the state, if the crime was committed for mercenary reasons, the corresponding document is posted in the Duma electronic database. Changes are proposed to be made to the criminal and criminal procedure codes. The authors of the bill were State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Speaker Irina Yarovaya, head of the United Russia faction Vladimir Vasilyev, head of the Communist Party faction Gennady Zyuganov, head of the A Just Russia — For Truth faction Sergei Mironov, head of the LDPR faction Leonid Slutsky, heads of committees on security and culture Vasily Piskarev and Elena Yampolskaya, as well as other deputies.
The explanatory note to the bill notes that in order to suppress the financing of crimes, as well as other activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation, the bill proposes to supplement the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation with a mechanism providing for the confiscation of money, valuables and other property used or intended for their financing.
The bill was conceptually supported by the RF IC, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Justice and Rosfinmonitoring.
