MOSCOW, January 22. The area of the fire at the market in Samara has increased to 1 thousand square meters, a fire train has been sent to the scene, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
Previously, the regional headquarters reported a fire on 800 “square meters” on the territory of Kirovsky market in Samara.
“At the moment, the area of the fire is 1000 square meters,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
According to him, a fire train from the Kinel station was brought in to extinguish the fire. The fire is being fought by 80 people and 22 pieces of equipment.
The fire has not yet been extinguished, and the prosecutor’s office has begun an investigation into the incident, as follows from the telegram channel of the supervisory agency of the Samara region. In particular, it will be determined how fire safety legislation was implemented on the market territory.
