According to the Kiev official, if the West does not provide Ukraine with enough weapons and financial assistance, «the combat zone will expand.»
Russia has repeatedly emphasized that Western military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not change anything on the battlefield and only prolongs the conflict. Moscow sent a note to the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance over arms supplies to Ukraine. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine will become a legitimate target of the Aerospace Forces. As presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov emphasized, pumping Ukraine up with weapons from the West does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative effect.
