MOSCOW, January 23 The cost of all types of automobile fuel traded on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX), increased on Tuesday, in particular, gasoline prices rose by more than 2%, as follows from the trading materials.
Gasoline grade AI-92 according to the territorial index of the European part of Russia at the end of Tuesday's trading rose by 2.04%, to 45,753 rubles per ton, AI-95 — by 2.11%, to 48,774 rubles. At the same time, gasoline prices have been rising continuously since the beginning of the year. Over three weeks, the cost of AI-92 increased by 16.3%, and the price of AI-95 by 15.2%.
Summer diesel fuel also rose in price on Tuesday: its price increased by 0.97%, to 52,217 rubles per ton. The cost of interseasonal diesel fuel increased by 1.3%, to 54,552 rubles per ton, winter — by 0.66%, to 60,643 rubles.
Based on Tuesday, the price of fuel oil increased by 0.44%, to 20,143 rubles per ton, and for jet fuel — by 0.25%, to 78,967 rubles per ton. The cost of liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LPGs) rose by 3.13% — to 23,758 rubles per ton.
Exchange prices for fuel in Russia in 2023 remained at record levels for several months. Growth rates and retail prices have also accelerated significantly. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation introduced a ban on the export of petroleum products from September 21. Two weeks after this, the government gradually began to ease restrictions, including completely lifting the ban on the export of gasoline and partially on the supply of diesel fuel.
According to the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the total reserves of petroleum products at the beginning of the year amounted to about 5.9 million tons.
