
VLADIVOSTOK, January 23 Almost 30 thousand tons of fish products have been registered for export in the Far East since the beginning of the year, this is the largest number of such cargoes since 2019, reports Primorsky interregional department of Rosselkhoznadzor.
“»Since the beginning of January 2024, 683 shipments of fish and seafood with a total weight of 29.2 thousand tons have been exported from the Primorsky Territory and the Sakhalin Region. Since 2019, this is the largest amount of fish products registered for export in January,» — the message says.
Products were sent to different countries of the world. 22.5 thousand tons of fish products were registered in China, 6.1 thousand in South Korea, and 0.6 thousand in Japan. Also, small quantities of fish and seafood were supplied to the UAE, Taiwan and Israel in January.
The department clarified that for the same period in January 2023, exports amounted to just over 12 thousand tons, 443 batches of fish products were registered.
Most in demand among importers are pollock, cod and live crab.
