MOSCOW, January 22 To end the conflict in Ukraine, Kiev will have to give the territories to Moscow, Politico reports, citing the words of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
“
"There must be some kind of compromise. What do they expect, that the Russians will leave Crimea, Donbass and Lugansk? “This is impossible,” journalists quote the politician as saying.
Fico also reiterated that during his upcoming visit to Ukraine he will again tell the Kiev authorities that he will not allow Ukraine to join NATO.

Earlier, Fico said that Ukraine is under the total influence and control of the United States, and the European Union is making a mistake by adhering to the American opinion on the Ukrainian conflict instead of forming its own point of view.
Russia has more than once expressed its readiness for negotiations , but the Kyiv authorities introduced a ban on them at the legislative level. The Kremlin also noted that now there are no prerequisites for the situation to transition to a peaceful direction, while achieving the goals of the special operation remains an absolute priority for Moscow. According to President Vladimir Putin, Russia has never refused dialogue, but the other side must express its readiness for it directly.
