MOSCOW, January 24Some Tele2 users encountered a malfunction in the operation of some services, while the operator’s networks were functioning normally, and at the moment the operation of all services has been restored, the company’s press service commented.
The failure of Tele2 was recorded on the website «Failure.rf». As of 9.00 Moscow time, the number of complaints exceeded 1.3 thousand. About a third of them came from the Novosibirsk region. Complaints also came from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Omsk Region, Kuzbass, Krasnoyarsk Territory and other regions. Tele2 users mainly complained about the work of Telegram and WhatsApp messengers.
“For reasons beyond our control, some users in parts of Siberia and the Far East may have experienced problems with the operation of the WhatsApp and Telegram instant messengers. On the Tele2 side, the network functioned as normal. At the moment, the services have been fully restored,” Tele2 commented.
In turn, Megafon reported that the network in Siberia and the Far East is operating as normal, there are no restrictions on the part of the operator.
Earlier on Wednesday, Telegram and WhatsApp users reported malfunctions in the messengers in a number of regions of Russia. According to the Sboy.rf service, the number of complaints exceeded 7.7 thousand and 8.8 thousand, respectively.
At the same time, Deputy Minister of Innovation, Digital Development and Infocommunication Technologies of Yakutia Andrei Suslov reported that in the republic a technical failure in the work of messengers is associated with preventive work agreed upon with Roskomnadzor.
