The Nio ET5 Touring wagon, which debuted last summer, was designed with Europe in mind, but has so far collected the cream of the crop in China, becoming Nio's second most popular model after the ES6 crossover. The Nio ET5 Touring does not yet have direct competitors either in China or in Europe, but the Neta EP41 station wagon will appear soon, the commercial name of which has not yet been announced, sales start is scheduled for this summer.
Let us recall that Hozon Auto, founded in 2014, is one of the most notable new players in the NEV segment of the Chinese car market. The abbreviation NEV stands for New Energy Vehicle, and it combines electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and hydrogen vehicles. Hozon Auto operates under the Neta brand; last year it sold 127,496 cars in China, which is 16.16% less than sales in 2022 — the drop is due to the price war in the Chinese market.

However, the management of Hozon Auto does not intend to dwell on China and during 2024 wants to bring the Neta brand to 50 new markets — mainly the countries of Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Last fall, Hozon Auto launched its assembly plant in Thailand with a capacity of 20,000 cars per year; the most affordable Neta model, the Neta V subcompact crossover, is being picked up here.
