A pensioner from Pervouralsk was given a year and a half probation for attempting to set fire to a military registration and enlistment office after receiving a call from scammers

The Pervouralsk City Court sentenced 73-year-old Lyubov Shulina to one and a half years probation for attempting to set fire to a military registration and enlistment office, the court's press service told It's my city.

According to investigators, the pensioner was deceived by scammers to whom she transferred hundreds of thousands of rubles taken on credit. Finding herself in debt, Shulina agreed to an offer to participate in a secret FSB operation to set fire to military registration and enlistment offices.

She made a Molotov cocktail according to the recipe of one of the callers and went to the military registration and enlistment office, but was unable to set the liquid on fire. After the failure, the woman, at the request of the callers, returned to the military registration and enlistment office again, but she was detained by the police.

Initially, a case was opened against Shulina for hooliganism by a group of persons (Article 30, Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Later, the case was reclassified as intentional destruction of someone else's property (Article 167 of the Criminal Code).
