Prisoner of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Grinenko spoke about the hope of rescue by the Russian military in Avdievka

Soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, whom the command abandoned at positions in Avdiivka near Donetsk, hoped that the Russian military would save them. This was stated by a captured fighter of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Jaeger Brigade Vyacheslav Grinenko.
He said that Ukrainian soldiers remained in positions for 30 hours without food or ammunition. They unsuccessfully asked the command to allow them to retreat or send help.
Ukrainians in despair waited for the Russian military as a hope for salvation. As a result, a unit of the Russian army entered the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and took them prisoner. In this way, the lives of Ukrainian soldiers were saved, Grinenko concluded.
Earlier, General of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Krivonos was horrified by Zelensky’s mistake, noting that Kiev does not have the resources for a new offensive.
