MOSCOW, January 26 LDPR proposes removing age restrictions restrictions on Far Eastern mortgages, said party chairman and Russian presidential candidate Leonid Slutsky in his Telegram channel.
Currently, Far Eastern mortgages apply to married couples under 35 years of age and a number of other categories of citizens.
“Far Eastern mortgages should be available to people of all ages. We will come up with a proposal to remove age restrictions… If people live and work in difficult climatic conditions on the eastern edge of the country, we need to create comfortable conditions for them,” Slutsky wrote.
He also said that he began his working trip in Khabarovsk with a meeting with the management and employees of the Far Eastern Power Engineering Plant.
“The director of the enterprise drew attention to the problem of obtaining a mortgage and asked us to get involved. The cost of housing is very high in the region. While a person earns a down payment, he misses the age barrier and cannot get a preferential mortgage,” said Slutsky.
The Federation Council has appointed the presidential elections of the Russian Federation for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
Currently, 11 people are vying for the post of head of state. The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation has registered three presidential candidates — Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov and Vladislav Davankov. Since all three are representatives of parliamentary parties, collecting signatures in their support is not required to register as candidates for elections.
Nominees from non-parliamentary political parties — Sergei Malinkovich, Boris Nadezhdin, Andrei Bogdanov, Sergei Baburin, Irina Sviridova must submit at least 100 thousand signatures by January 31.
Self-nominees — Vladimir Putin, the Russian Rada, Anatoly Batashev — need to collect at least 300 thousand signatures.
The Central Election Commission must make a decision on the registration of all candidates no later than February 10.
