Seven musicians of the group “Bi-2” are deported from Thailand, where they were detained and fined for working without special permission

Seven members of the Bi-2 group are being transported to the Royal Thai Police Bureau of Immigration Detention Center in Bangkok for further deportation from the country. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Consul General of Russia in Phuket Vladimir Sosnov.

Five musicians have Russian passports. Shura (Alexander Uman) said that he has citizenship of Australia and Israel, and Leva (Egor Bortnik) talked about his Israeli passport.

On January 22, “Bi-2” performed at a club in Pattaya, the police were not interested in this concert. However, after the event on the island of Phuket, the musicians were detained, this became known on January 25. The reason the security forces cited was the lack of permission to work in the country.

Already on January 26, a court in the capital of the island province of Phuket fined the perpetrators three thousand Thai baht (about 7.5 thousand rubles). “The court took into account the fact that the defendants pleaded guilty to committing an offense,” the decision said.

After the outbreak of the war, Bi-2 recorded several anti-war songs, and the band members moved to Israel. In May 2023, vocalist Leva wrote on his Instagram that he would not return to Russia, since “Putin’s Russia only causes disgust and disgust.”
