
MOSCOW, January 26 Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Nikolai Bulaev, when asked about the date for consideration of the issue of registering Vladimir Putin, said that this would be decided by the Central Election Commission; the agenda for its next meeting has not yet been formed.
On Monday, the election headquarters of Russian presidential candidate Vladimir Putin submitted 315 thousand signatures in his support to the Russian Central Election Commission. At a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation on Wednesday, the chairman of the commission, Ella Pamfilova, announced that the next meeting would take place on Monday, January 29.
“It depends on what the Central Election Commission decides. The agenda has not yet been formed,” Bulaev answered the question whether the issue of registering Putin as a candidate will be considered on Monday.
