
PYATIGORSK, January 31 Investigators have opened a criminal case following a media publication about an attack by a pack of stray dogs on a pregnant woman in Pyatigorsk, reports the RF SUSK for the Stavropol Territory.
Earlier, information appeared in the media that on January 27, around noon, on Zarechnaya Street 113, a pack of six dogs attacked a pregnant woman. Two men rushed to her aid, but the dogs managed to bite her leg and tear her down jacket. The woman was subsequently hospitalized.
«During the monitoring of social networks, a publication was revealed that on one of the streets of the city of Pyatigorsk a pack of stray dogs attacked a pregnant woman and caused her bodily harm. <…> A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence),” says the Telegram channel of the investigative department.
The administration of Pyatigorsk commented on the situation with the attack on the Telegram channel, noting that a contractor is currently being selected to catch stray animals in Pyatigorsk for 2024, “after which <…> raids will be carried out regularly «.
