MOSCOW, January 31 Presidential candidate, the current head of state, Vladimir Putin, said that one should not go crazy about juvenile justice when they meddle in family affairs, noting that Russia will not go down this path.
«You said that a girl became pregnant at 15 years old and decides to terminate pregnancy, and parents should have the right to influence this process. But they did not take advantage of their opportunities and did not prevent this unwanted pregnancy. And now they should have the right to terminate this pregnancy… The issue is very complex and requires attention, first of all, from such specialists, like you and your colleagues, and the state, of course, listens to you. Of course, we shouldn’t go crazy about juvenile justice, when they interfere in family affairs, they interfere mercilessly, children are taken away — what madness, we are on this path, of course “, as a matter of principle, we won’t go,” Putin said at a meeting with trusted officials.
He called this issue very delicate, noting that he was not expressing his position, but drew attention to the fact that this issue requires the attention of professionals. “A very important area is childhood. One way or another, we have everything, all social policy around children, all family policy around children. This is such a delicate area, I’m even afraid to touch it. I’ll tell you honestly,” Putin concluded.
