The expert commented on the EU’s allocation of 50 billion euros to Ukraine

MOSCOW, February 1 Allocation of 50 billion by the European Union Euro for Ukraine is an artificial extension of the life of a bankrupt state, for which even this amount is not enough to “maintain its pants,” said Dmitry Drozdenko, editor-in-chief of the Arsenal of the Fatherland Internet portal.
Today, the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, announced that all 27 EU leaders at the summit in Brussels agreed to allocate 50 billion euros of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine over the next 4 years.

«Any financial assistance to Ukraine is nothing more than a continuation of the agony, no matter how you look at it. First of all, as a state, Ukraine has been bankrupt for a long time, while everyone needs to be fed: the military, Zelensky, officials, service infrastructure. No one will fight without a salary,» Drozdenko said.

The expert noted that today, when a significant part of the working population is at the front, Kyiv has nothing to fill its budget on its own, so it is entirely dependent on Western subsidies. At the same time, according to the agency’s interlocutor, 50 billion euros are not able to cover all the needs of the Ukrainian state.
“For Ukraine, 50 billion euros is not enough to “maintain its pants”; it will have to look for other reserves, the main one of which should be the devaluation of the hryvnia, Kiev has no other way. However, this will allow Ukraine to stall for time, and for quite a long time,” — Drozdenko emphasized.
