The Ministry of Internal Affairs has added lawyer Olga Mikhailova, who defended Alexei Navalny, to the search database, Mediazona noted.

In October 2023, security forces detained three other former and current defenders of the oppositionist — Vadim Kobzev, Alexey Liptser and Igor Sergunin.
They were accused of participating in an “extremist community” (Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code) due to the fact that they passed on letters from an oppositionist from the colony to his associates, and were placed in a pre-trial detention center.
Mikhailova said that at that time was on vacation in Jordan and decided not to return to Russia. As a result, she was charged in absentia with the same charges as her colleagues.
“It turns out that I did not defend Alexei Navalny in all criminal and administrative cases, did not win complaints in the European Court, but participated in the extremist community created by him in 2011,” the lawyer recounted the position of the investigators.
From Russia Navalny’s other lawyer, Alexander Fedulov, also left due to the persecution of his colleagues. As Novaya Gazeta Europe reported, he was also put on the wanted list “under an article of the Criminal Code.” Which one exactly is not specified. Previously, it was not known that a criminal case had been initiated against Fedulov.
