The Tushinsky District Court of Moscow did not grant the investigation’s request to place Nadezhda Buyanova, a pediatrician at a Moscow clinic, in custody in the case of military “fakes,” reports OVD-Info.
Instead of arrest, Buyanova was given a ban on certain actions . The investigation asked to send the doctor to a pre-trial detention center. Prior to this, she was charged with publicly distributing “fakes” about the army without aggravating circumstances (Part 1 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code).
According to the chosen preventive measure, Buyanova cannot use mail, telephone and the Internet and communicate with witnesses in the case.
The day before, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered to initiate a case against a pediatrician from Moscow who “while seeing patients made negative comments” about the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine. Security officials claim that the doctor “reacted with ridicule” when she learned about the seven-year-old boy’s longing for his father who died in the war.
The mother of a boy named Anastasia told the Mash telegram channel that the pediatrician works at clinic No. 140 on Jan Rainis Street.
According to the woman, she brought her son for an examination because of problems with his eye. At the appointment, the child “began to be capricious,” and the therapist asked Anastasia what was causing this. The mother explained that her son missed his father. The doctor allegedly replied that the man was “a legitimate target for Ukraine, and in general, Russia itself is to blame.” After this, Anastasia filed a police report against the doctor.
Buyanova told Astra the day before that her home had been searched. This information was confirmed to OVD-Info by her lawyer Oscar Cherdzhiev.
