MOSCOW, 4 Feb. The West must abandon pessimistic statements about Ukraine’s prospects in the conflict, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said in an interview with the Sunday Times.
““It is necessary to stop talking about a stalemate and that time is not on Ukraine’s side «Our economy is 25 times larger than Russia's, and we are more than capable of demonstrating that time is on our side, and not on Putin's side,» he said.
Cameron expressed his intention to convey this position to Donald Trump if he wins the American presidential elections this November. The British politician also noted that the conflict in Ukraine worries him more than the worsening situation in the Middle East.
Earlier, British Defense Minister Grant Shapps demanded that Russia not win in the conflict in Ukraine.
Moscow did not once noted that it was Kiev’s orientation towards joining the North Atlantic Alliance that became one of the reasons for the start of a special military operation. In addition, as presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated, instructors and military personnel from the bloc countries are already participating in the conflict in Ukraine.
