
GROZNY, February 4 The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov offered condolences to the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik, as well as to the relatives and friends of those killed during the shelling of a bakery in Lisichansk. He stated this in his Telegram channel.
“On my own behalf and on behalf of the entire Chechen people, I express my sincere words of condolences to the head of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, as well as the relatives and friends of the victims. I also wish a speedy recovery to everyone who suffered as a result of the shelling,” Kadyrov wrote.
The head of the region added that Chechen units within the Russian armed forces will do everything possible to “promote the speedy punishment of all those guilty of this terrible crime.”
Ukrainian troops fired at a bakery in Lisichansk the day before. The number of dead, according to the latest data, has increased to 28, including one child. The military commandant's office of the LPR reported that in total there could be about 40 people under the rubble.
The fourth of February has been declared a day of mourning in the republic for those killed as a result of the APU strike.
