MOSCOW, February 2 The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation revealed shortcomings in the documents, submitted by the candidate for the post of President of the Russian Federation by the Russian Rada, she submitted 476 signatures to the CEC, instead of the required 300 thousand.
«Send to the candidate for the position of President of the Russian Federation, Rada Lizmovna Russkikh, a Notice of identified deficiencies in the documents submitted by the candidate for the position of President of the Russian Federation, Rada Lizmovna Russkikh,» the resolution says.
Among the shortcomings at the CEC meeting were the lack of a document confirming the fact of payment for the production of signature sheets, a protocol on the results of collecting voter signatures on paper and in machine-readable form, a list of persons who collected voter signatures, on paper and in machine readable form.
«To register as a self-nominated candidate must provide at least 300 thousand signatures. The Russian Rada submitted 476 signatures to the CEC,» CEC member Nikolai Levichev said at the meeting.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
At the moment, seven people are vying for the post of head of state. The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation has registered four presidential candidates — Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
The Central Election Commission must make a decision on registration or refusal of registration for all candidates no later than February 10.
