MOSCOW, February 3 The share of the creative economy in Russia's GDP is now 4.87%, and it is growing rapidly, said Marina Abramova, president of the Creative Economy ANO.
«Currently, the share of the creative economy in Russia's GDP is 4.87%, according to the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. Yes, we are at the beginning of the path, but we are moving along it very quickly,» she said.
According to her, “if three years ago few people heard about the existence of a creative economy in the country, today no one doubts that without its development Russia will never become competitive in the world.»
According to a survey by VTsIOM, the expert noted, 73% of Russians to one degree or another agree that creative industries are beginning to play a significant role in the economy and social life.
«A new stage in the development of these industries in Russia will begin with the adoption of the law «On the development of creative industries», which is expected in February. The law will structure this sector, it is expected to create a unified register of market participants, determine and record what kind of business and on what grounds does it qualify as creative,” Abramova concluded.
