MOSCOW, February 2 The refusal of the artist Maxim Galkin*, recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation, to enter Indonesia was caused by immigration problems, an official said Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesman Lalu Muhammad Iqbal.
Previously, Galkin* was not allowed onto the Indonesian island of Bali, and he believes that these restrictions were allegedly influenced by the Russian authorities. Galkin* claims that he was shown a letter supposedly from the Russian authorities, but “they politely refused a copy.” At the same time, he calls the reports that the reason for the refusal to enter the country is connected with the position of the Indonesian government “stuffing” and denied the inclusion of his name in the “black lists”.
“According to the General Directorate of Immigration, the refusal of Maxim Galkin* to enter Indonesia was entirely due to immigration reasons,” the Indonesian portal Detik quoted Iqbal as saying.
Earlier, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, commenting on the ban on Galkin* from entering Indonesia, said that a number of countries restrict entry for those who sponsored the Kiev regime, due to the toxicity and danger of such of people. The diplomat added that “countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and a number of European countries are beginning to understand that this money is used for terrorist acts.”
The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation included Galkin* in the register of foreign agents in mid-September last year. The document indicated that Galkin*’s country of financing was Ukraine, and also mentioned “carrying out political activities.” Galkin himself*, together with his wife Alla Pugacheva, now lives in Israel.
