MOSCOW, February 5The burned Wildberries warehouse in Shushary complied with all fire safety standards; the prompt evacuation of all employees serves as confirmation of this, company founder Tatyana Bakalchuk said in an interview.
“»The warehouse exactly met the fire safety requirements. And, in fact, the fact that we brought out more than a thousand people on time and in an organized manner also indicates that we had repeated fire drills. Everyone worked synchronously, correctly and quickly. This is direct evidence that everything was done according to the rules,» she explained.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade considers the operation of the burned-out Wildberries warehouse in Shushary strange, since it did not go through all the necessary acceptance procedures; in this regard, additional proceedings are expected, State Secretary — Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Evtukhov said at the end of January.

Previously, the company reported that Wildberries received an environmental assessment of the warehouse in Shushary — this is a conclusion on compliance with all urban planning regulations and safety requirements. To obtain it, a commission is always created, which includes specialists from Rostechnadzor, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Gosstroynadzor, electrical network and fire safety inspectors, the marketplace noted.

According to the Town Planning Code of the Russian Federation, the conclusion of the state construction supervision body on compliance (COS) is one of the documents required to make a decision on issuing a permit to put a facility into operation.
The Wildberries warehouse in Shushary (district of St. Petersburg) with an area of ​​over 100 thousand square meters caught fire on Saturday, January 13. The fire covered 70 thousand square meters. The open burning was extinguished only on Sunday. Approximately the damage from the fire is estimated by insurers at 10-11 billion rubles. On January 13, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered the initiation of a criminal case into the fire.
