In Moscow, lawyer and former investigator Alexei Fedyarov was detained in a criminal case of mediation of a bribe (Part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code). The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow received a petition to place him under house arrest.
The details of the case are still unknown.
Fedyarov until 2007 worked as deputy head of a department in the prosecutor's office for Chuvashia, and after the reorganization of the department he went into business. A few years later, the lawyer was accused of introducing his colleagues to a man who promised to stop the criminal prosecution of their relative for money, but disappeared (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code). Fedyarova said that he did not receive “not a penny” from this, but entered into a pre-trial agreement. In 2014 he was sent to a colony, and in 2016 he was released on parole.

After his release, the lawyer became the head of the legal department of the human rights sitting Rus' Foundation Olga Romanova , which helps people in prison. In addition, the lawyer defended director Kirill Serebrennikov in the Seventh Studio case and participated in other political processes. For example, he helped 85-year-old street artist from the Kaluga region Vladimir Ovchinnikov, against whom a protocol was drawn up for “discrediting” the army because of graffiti in support of Ukraine.
