MOSCOW, February 6 Many countries understand that that no one is immune from “state banditry” in the economic field from the West, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
As the minister noted, “the use of neocolonial practices by the United States and its satellites has seriously undermined confidence in globalization according to the American model.”
«The global majority has increasing complaints about the effectiveness and impartiality of international financial institutions and interaction formats controlled from Washington. The understanding that absolutely no one is immune from state banditry with side of the collective West,” he said at the beginning of a meeting of the Business Council under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
«Therefore, not only Russia, but also many other countries are actively using alternative currencies and payment platforms in foreign trade payments; international transport corridors and production and supply chains are being created that are resistant to the bad attempts of unfriendly states to prevent the realization of mutual benefits projects,» Lavrov said.
The Russian Federation has repeatedly stated that the country will cope with the sanctions pressure that the West began to exert on Russia several years ago and continues to intensify. Moscow noted that the West lacks the courage to admit the failure of sanctions against the Russian Federation. In Western countries themselves, opinions have been repeatedly voiced that anti-Russian sanctions are ineffective. Russian President Vladimir Putin previously stated that the policy of containing and weakening Russia is a long-term strategy of the West, and sanctions have dealt a serious blow to the entire global economy. According to him, the main goal of the West is to worsen the lives of millions of people.
