In January, the average price for rented one-room apartments in Russia was 21 thousand rubles
In Russia, based on the results of the first month of 2024, rental housing of all types has sharply fallen in price. Prices have fallen even for the most popular one-room apartments among tenants, including in Moscow, Sochi and St. Petersburg.
— At the end of last year, when rates for rented apartments were growing rapidly, among other things, the seasonal factor was at work: many tenants had contracts valid until the end of the year, and a considerable part of people changed housing. In this regard, the supply of rental housing decreased in December, and there was an artificial rise in prices,” comments Pavel Lutsenko, general director of the World of Apartments portal. — Well, now the vacant apartments have returned to the market, so the rental supply has increased significantly. Compared to December, one-room apartments offered for rent increased by 16%, two-room apartments by 12%, and three-room apartments by 10%. And their cost has fallen.
Renting a one-room apartment in Moscow costs on average 46.8 thousand rubles per month, a two-room apartment — 58 thousand, a three-room apartment — 70 thousand (calculated for all districts and all segments housing, with the exception of elite ones). The price drop was 0.3%.
In Sochi, the cost of renting a 1-, 2-, 3-room apartment will cost, respectively, 33 thousand, 46 thousand, 59.9 thousand rubles (minus one percent), in St. Petersburg — 31 thousand, 42.5 thousand, 55 thousand rubles per month (minus 1.3%).
On average in Russia, rented one-room apartments in January fell by 0.5%, to 21 thousand rubles, two-room apartments — by 1%, up to 27 thousand, three-room apartments — by 0.9%, up to 33.7 thousand rubles per month.
