MOSCOW, February 8 Visit of President Vladimir Putin Turkey occupies a priority place on the agenda of international contacts of the President of the Russian Federation, Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
«A possible visit of our President to Turkey is now being discussed. I would like to say that we attach great importance to the development of multifaceted relations with Turkey, and in accordance with the invitation of President Erdogan, the upcoming visit of the Russian President to Turkey occupies a priority place on the agenda of our immediate international contacts,” Ushakov said.
“Very active preparations for the visit are now underway, with preparations being made by almost all major Russian departments, both economic and political. The specific dates of the visit are still in the process of being agreed upon,» Ushakov said
Previously, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the date of Putin's visit to Turkey will be determined taking into account the electoral cycle in Russia and the presidential schedule of Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Turkey.
