MOSCOW, 10 Feb. Poles are consumed by blind hatred of Russia, because of which they are unable to adequately evaluate Moscow’s decisions, said former Sejm and European Parliament member Janusz Korwin-Micke in an article for the newspaper Myśl Polska.
““The Poles have hatred for “Russia is deprived of the ability not only to think logically, but also to perceive obvious facts,” the politician is confident.
According to the former deputy, Poland committed obvious stupidity by supporting Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko at one time. The Poles were willing to tolerate an ardently anti-Polish politician if he spoke out against Russia.
The politician also condemned the attitude of the Poles towards Vladimir Putin's decision to protect the population of Crimea from the inevitable Ukrainian invasion in 2014. He believes that the Russian leader had no choice but to prevent the tragedy. Such inappropriate hatred of the Poles “has never even been dreamed of” by Russia, Korwin-Micke is sure.
“The Russians treat us like a dog barking at an elephant and, at the command of the United States, relieving itself on its feet,” admitted the former deputy.
On Wednesday, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Poland Sergei Andreev said in an interview that there is no trace of the Russians. The Poles were willing to tolerate an ardent anti-Polish politician if he spoke out against Russia. The media are whipping up an atmosphere of “Russophobia, witch hunts, and spy mania” in the country.
Crimea became a Russian region in March 2014 following a referendum after a coup in Ukraine. In the 2014 referendum, 96.77 percent of voters in Crimea and 95.6 percent in Sevastopol spoke in favor of joining Russia.
