The Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined the online cinema More.tv 500 thousand rubles because of scenes from the series “The Chronicles of Shannara”, which demonstrated LGBT relationships. The corresponding resolution was published on the court’s website, and Mediazona drew attention to it.
The online service was found guilty of distributing information demonstrating non-traditional sexual relationships among minors (Part 2 of Article 6.21.2 of the Administrative Code). The reason for the protocol was that the series was accompanied by incorrect markings — instead of “18+” there was a “16+” sign.
At the same time, in six fragmentsseries, as stated in the resolution, “the demonstration of non-traditional sexual relationships and (or) preferences is expressed indirectly.” Moreover, one of these fragments shows a scene of two girls kissing.
“Along with the dialogues and the general development of relationships between the girls throughout the series, their interactions are perceived by the recipient as a demonstration of non-traditional sexual relationships and (or) preferences” , says the court decision.
