MOSCOW, February 10 Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko gave instructions to develop a training program for year-round federal resorts, the office of the deputy chairman of the government told reporters .
“Dmitry Chernyshenko instructed, within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry,” to develop, on the basis of the Competence Center, a training program for new federal resorts, including the needs of the future Kazan Marina resort and the Republic of Tatarstan as a whole,” the office said, adding that the deputy chairman government, as part of a working visit to Tatarstan, took part in the opening of the Center for Human Resources in the Tourism Industry.
“The President of Russia called personnel training one of the priorities, the tourism sector is no exception. Within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry” we are already creating new resorts and tourist facilities. Therefore, the task of training qualified specialists is significant for the development of the domestic tourism industry and ensuring high quality service at existing and future resorts,” Chernyshenko was quoted as saying in the message.
It is noted that funding for the project for 2023-2024 from the federal budget amounted to more than 200 million rubles. It is also reported that in 2024, teams from 21 regions of the country will undergo training at the Center under the program “Managing the Development of Tourist Territories: a Project Approach.”
The staff clarified that a meeting was also chaired by Chernyshenko on the implementation of the Kazan Marina investment project with an investment volume of more than 21 billion rubles in Tatarstan. It is assumed that the key facility for the development of the future year-round resort will be a full-cycle yacht marina. The master plan for the project was developed by the Tourism.RF corporation and approved last year.
Kazan Marina will be the first tourist center with a full cycle marina built on the Volga in the last 30 years. The project indicators will contribute to the implementation of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”. By 2030, the expected tourist and excursion flow of Kazan Marina will exceed 620 thousand people per year, almost 2 thousand jobs and more than 1,250 rooms will be created,” the Deputy Prime Minister was quoted as saying.
“We have formed 9 investment lots. We actively work with investors. In the second quarter of this year, we plan to create special design companies to carry out design and survey work and build infrastructure facilities on the territory of the future resort,” the message quoted Sergei Sukhanov, General Director of Tourism.RF.
The staff also noted that Agreements of intent for the implementation of investment lots of the Kazan Marina project were signed between the Tourism.RF corporation and investors: Laishevo Yacht Club and Kama Riviera Management Company.
